Trenčianska Teplá

Trenčianska Teplá (Hungarian Holák - to 1902 Trencséntepla - older even Tepla ) is a municipality in the north-western Slovakia with 4138 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011).

Geography

It lies on the edge of the mountains Strážovské hills in the Waag Valley, located about 10 km from Trenčín. The municipality also includes an end in 1976, my village Dobra and in 1910 turned my finished Priles district.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1355 as Topla.

Traffic

A narrow gauge railway runs from the site after Trenčianske Teplice. The site also lies on the railway line Bratislava - Žilina and has a railway station. This is also the terminus of the line over the Wlarapass to Moravia ( now Czech Republic ).
