Course
The river rises south of Oberstdorf. From its source, which is located near the Trettachspitze in Trettachrinne ( directly on the German / Austrian border ), the Trettach northward flowing through the Trettachtal named after her ( partly Spielmannsauertal named after the hamlet Spielmannsau ). It joins the Iller origin north of Oberstdorf with the Breitach (left upper reaches ) and the Stillach (middle upper reaches ) to the Iller.
