Trevor Philp

Trevor Philp (born 1 May 1992, Toronto ) is a Canadian alpine skier. He specializes in the slalom and giant slalom.

Biography

Trevor Philp took in winter 2007/2008 for the first time in FIS races and came in part from the following season in the Nor- Am Cup used. 2009, based in Calgary Philp was included in the Alberta Ski Team, where he remained for two years. After initial victories in FIS races in March 2010, he reached the Nor- Am Cup in the 2010/2011 season first in the top 20 rankings for the first time and end of the season with eighth place in the giant slalom at Whistler, the first top- 10 finish. In World Junior Championships, where he took part from 2010 to 2012, was his best result of fourth place in the slalom in 2012.

Since autumn 2011, Philp studied at the University of Denver in the United States. On 9 December 2011, he celebrated by winning the super combined in Nakiska his first victory in Nor- Am Cup. By the end of the season 2011/2012 he achieved a second victory and three podiums in the Nor- Am Cup, making him the third overall and slalom rating and each second in the giant slalom and super combination rating. He had his first and only in this winter World Cup start on 8 January 2012 at the slalom in Adelboden, in which he was not qualified for the second round. End of March 2012, he won his first Canadian title in slalom. Since the 2012/2013 season Philp is a member of the Canadian national team.

At the Junior World Championships in 2013 Philp won the bronze medal in the team competition. The first World Cup point he took on December 8, 2013 30th place in the giant slalom in Beaver Creek.
