Trevor White (skier)
Trevor White ( * April 27, 1984 in Calgary, Alberta) is a former Canadian alpine skier. He specializes in the slalom and giant slalom.
Biography
The son of a ski instructor couple went through in his youth talent development program of Olympic gold medalist Nancy Greene. In December 1999, White took part in the first international FIS race, from January 2001 then served in the Nor- Am Cup, the North American Continental Championship. In 2003, he was inducted into the conveyor group of the Canadian national team, success came from but for the time being and in the 2006/07 season he was injured deny any race.
Although White 2008 was only able to take in January, the season in attack and therefore had missed several races, he binned in the season 2007/ 08 of the Nor -Am Cup in fourth place in the slalom standings. Its premiere at the Ski World Cup, he had 20 January 2008 at the Hahnenkamm slalom in Kitzbuehel. On 18 January 2009 he took the first World Cup points when he was 23, the Lauberhorn in Wengen slalom. He scored his best result seven days later than eight of the Kitzbühel slalom. Then White went several times into the top 20, but other top - 10 finishes in the World Cup no longer reach him after that. In February 2009 he took part in the slalom at the World Championships in Val d'Isere, but was disqualified for a gate faults in the first run.
2010 White started at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and was 31 in slalom. At the World Championships 2011 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, he finished 20th place in the slalom. Experiences of success remained in the two subsequent seasons of largely so that he announced his retirement from professional racing in March 2013.
