Trini Lopez

Trini Lopez, born Trinidad López III, ( born May 15, 1937 in Dallas, Texas) is an American pop singer.

Life

Lopez's parents came from Mexico, but settled after their marriage in Dallas, Texas. There Lopez grew up with four sisters up in poverty. He attended the Grammar School in Dallas, and then began a hightec study. Since he had to support his parents financially, broke the study prematurely. His father, who had worked as a singer and actor, taught his son to play guitar. After a period as a street musician son started his own band and began in clubs first in Texas and later in addition act as a singer.

1958 Lopez wrote to an original song entitled The Right to Rock, which he published at the small record company people.
