Triumph of Death is the second demo recording of the Swiss extreme metal band Hellhammer or their first official release. The songs contained thereon and on the previous, unofficial recording Death Fiend were recorded on 10 and 11 June 1983, at Grave Hill bunker, the rehearsal room the band with a portable eight-track studio and Tom Warrior and Rol Fuchs, the owner of the studio produces. Death Fiend was discarded and Triumph of Death published instead. Triumph of Death became one of the most popular demo recordings in the metal underground.
