Troitsk, Moscow

Troitsk (Russian Троицк ) is a district of Moscow, Russia, with 39 873 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ). The place is considered as a science center ( Naukograd ), received city rights in 1977 and was incorporated in 2012 in the newly created eponymous Moscow County Troitsk.

Troitsk is located about 38 kilometers southwest of Moscow's city center on the " Kaluga road " ( A101 ), close to the river Desna.

History

The northern city of Troitsk includes a village- dominated settlement that dates to the late 17th century. The located there Bogorodsky Church was built at the instigation of Prince Repnine in the years 1674 and 1675. In 1797 the Moscow merchant P. Prokhorov founded at this place a cloth manufactory which specialized in later years to the production of military uniforms. It formed a small company housing. At the same place today produces the " Troizker worsted factory " (Russian " Троицкая камвольная фабрика " Troitskaya Kamwolnaja Fabrika ).

By the year 1928, the place was called Troizkoje ( Троицкое ), then up to the town charter in 1977 Troitsky ( Троицкий ). As of February 28, 2005 Troitsk formed as the only town of the same name a city district of Moscow Oblast. On 1 July 2012, the port of the city circle was made to the City of Moscow. Troitsk heard since then as one of ten municipalities ( posselenije ) to the County Troitsk, named after the former city.

Economy

The Russian Academy of Sciences in 1960 settled a number of research institutes in Troitsk. This research, for example in the field of general and nuclear physics, quantum electronics and astrophysics.

Furthermore, there is medical research institutes that perform here, among other proton treatments to patients.

Traffic

Public transport between Troitsk Moscow ( metro station " Тёплый Стан ", " Tjoply Stan " at the Kaluschsko - Rischskaja line) is often oscillating buses managed 398 and 433.

At the railway network Troitsk could not be connected because the resident physical institutions use vibration-sensitive equipment which would be disturbed by passing trains.
