Troja (Band)

Troy is an Albanian heavy metal band which was founded in 1990 in Pristina / Kosovo Bujar Berisha, Florent Bajrami, Agron Ejupi and Violand Shabani.

History

In 1990, the band of singer Bujar Berisha, guitarist Florent Bajrami, bassist and drummer Violand Ejupi Agron Shabani was founded. One year after the founding of the band, she was the first opening act at a concert for the group Fisnikët.

In 1993 the band to rock Marigona Bend Festival in Mitrovica was invited. That same year, the band gave concerts in Skopje and Peja. A year later, the band won at the Boom Festival Award for Best Evening Of Rock Music. In 1995, the song " Ekzistenca " and "per Bekin " were taken. Two years later, the band participated in several concerts, including on the show Hard Festival and the ODA Bend Concert. In addition, the band recorded in the same year between more songs in GEZA studio in Peja on. Five years later, the band released their debut album " People". 2003 the band released the video clip for the song " People". This was her first video clip. This video won awards for the best camera interface and for the best Albanian rock music video that same year. The prices were each awarded in Tirana / Albania.

In 2004, the band further concerts in Albania. 2006 the band released their second video for the song " Jena Na " on the ABC Cinema. In the same year, the band won an award for the best Albanian rock band. In addition, they gave concerts at Radio Live Festival in Skopje and ODA Theatre, which was attended by 1500 spectators. In 2007, the band at the event " Urban Culture and Subculture " part. Two years later, the band released their second album " Amaneti I Clown It".

According to an article in the Kosovar Gazeta Express, the group is working on the third album. On 17 February 2012, the group plays as part of the Declaration of Independence in 2008, together with Fisnikët in Gjilan.

Music style

The style of playing the band varies between hard metal riffs and harmonious sounds of Albanian plucked instruments. The voice of the singer also changes from clean vocals to growls, which is frequently used by many singers Thrash, Death and Black Metal bands also. The lyrics are often in Albanian, sometimes also written in English.

Violand Shabani founded a musical side project called Land Of Confusion, playing Death Metal. In 2012 the debut album The Empty Voice appear.

Influence in politics

Ramush Haradinaj criticized the work of the current government and the Prime Minister of Kosovo. After he and his government had called Troy for Kosovo Hashim Thaci, Haradinaj said, adding that Troy was a rock band, representing the youth of Kosovo and have released a song where they want to show that the current leadership to destroy Kosovo and thus the young Kosovo Albanians are forced to flee.

All four musicians of the band saw the Kosovo before the proclamation of independence from Serbia in 2008, not as a Serbian province, but as part of Albania. Also, the musicians do not feel serbian but albanian. The band members are averse to Serbia because of the situation in Kosovo.

People ( 2003)

People is the band's debut album, released in 2003. The band produced the album itself was produced in the GEZA studios and includes 12 songs, all of which were sung ( except for " Ata Po Flejne " ) in English. To the song " People", a music video was shot.

Amaneti I " Clown" It ( 2009)

Amaneti I " clown " It is the album that was released in 2009. It's like the debut album, self-produced and was also included in the GEZA studios. The album includes 10 songs, all of which are sung ( except for " Beautiful World " and " Numb" ) in Albanian. The Albanian singer Flaka Krelani sings the bridge in the song " Beautiful World ". In the song " Genjeshtra " children sing with the chorus. For the album appeared two videos. The music video for " Nuk Po Muj Ma " came out in 2007, to " Amaneti I Clown It" appeared in the video two years later. The latter was awarded for the best music video of an Albanian Rock Band ( 2009). Both videos can be seen on Youtube.

Nominations at the Video Festival

The video for the song " People" reached the Video Fest 2003 1st place ( Best Cinematography ) and was nominated in 3 categories. 2006 won " Jena Na " the first place in the category Best Rock Video. 2009 won the video for the song " I Amaneti Clown It" two first places in the categories Best Rock Video and Best Cinematography.

Special

The song Ata Po Flejnë was the invasion of German music Kickboxers Besim Kabashi.
