Trude Gimle

Trude Charlotte Gimle ( born December 2, 1974 in Aurskog ) is a former Norwegian ski racer. She drove in all disciplines.

Biography

Gimle took part in the 1991 and 1992 Junior World Championships, with a 15th place was their best result. The first points in a World Cup race she won on January 23, 1994, when they surprisingly finished fifth in the slalom in Maribor. In the same discipline she drove at the Olympic Winter Games in 1994 in 15th place in the slalom rating European Cup season 1993/94 she was the third best.

During the 1994/95 season she has recorded numerous failures in the World Cup. A rare exception was on February 26, 1995, in turn, the slalom in Maribor, where she finished third. In the winter of 1995/96, they could not show a single countable result in the World Cup. Even in winter 1996/97 she was hardly ever be found in the top 30, but she won two Norwegian championship.

Gimle drove now, increasingly, Downhill and Super -G race and could be in the World Cup season 1997/98 re- establish itself in the midfield. The most successful was Gimle in the season 1998 /99. In two runs, they went into the top ten and she was twice third in a combined score, on 20 December 1998 Veysonnaz and on January 17, 1999 St. Anton am Arlberg. Due to injury, she had to pause in the following winter. An eighth place in a combined score remained in the winter of 2000 /01 it is by far the best result, then she stepped back from professional sports.
