Truls Mørk

Truls ( Otterbech ) Mørk ( born April 25, 1961 in Bergen) is a Norwegian cellist.

He was born as a child of a cellist and a pianist in Bergen. After his mother first taught him at the piano, but he soon switched to the violin and finally to the cello. His father, he had to persuade them to give him Cello hours since this was not too built by the great enthusiasm of his son for the music. Later he studied with Heinrich Schiff, Frans Helmerson and Natalia Schakowskaya. Truls Mørk appears regularly with all the major orchestras in the world, his particular interest in contemporary music, he played several world premieres. His instrument is a built in Venice by Domenico Montagnana cello in 1723, which is put to him by the Norwegian Royal Bank.
