The cylindrical body is 2.2 to 2.4 mm high (2.2 to 2.5 mm: Schultes Welter ) and 0.9 mm wide. It has up to seven weakly curved turns, which are separated with a flat seam. The surface is matt and has irregular growth lines on.

The area of the species is at three locations on the valley slopes of the Cure at Arcy- sur-Cure and Saint- Moré and in the valley of the Yonne at Mailly -le- Château ( between Auxerre and Avallon, Yonne, France ) is limited. The localities are about 130 m to 200 m above sea level.

Very doubtful is the discovery of a flooded into empty housing in the Canal d' Orny Entreroches in the canton of Vaud ( Switzerland ).

The animals live on the sites mentioned on dry meadows on rocky slopes on calcareous subsoil.

Taxonomy

The taxon was described in 1943 by Walter Klemm first time. The species is generally recognized. There are no known synonyms.

Endangering

Due to the extreme geographical restriction on the few locations the species is endangered. It is therefore particularly protected in France.
