Tully (Queensland)

Tully is a place in the Australian state of Queensland.

Location

Tully is located near Australia's east coast between Innisfail and Ingham in the north to the south. Not far from the place opens southeast of the Tully River River from the Coral Sea, northeast lies the village of Mission Beach. From Tully, you reach the nearby national parks Tully Gorge and Tully Falls

Climate

In the Tully nordaustralische monsoon determines the weather. This is the place lies in the danger zone for tropical cyclones. On the night of 2nd and 3rd February 2011, the center of the cyclone Yasi hit at Mission Beach on land and also taught in great damage to Tully. In addition to the southern Cardwell Tully was one of the hardest hit areas.
