The Tunisian national volleyball team of women is a selection of the best Tunisian players representing the Fédération Tunisienne de Volley -Ball in international tournaments and international matches.
History
World cup
The first participation in a World Volleyball Championship, the 1978 Tunisian women occupied the 23th Place. Eight years later, they escalated to rank 16
Olympic games
Tunisia has never qualified for the Olympics.
African Cup of Nations
In the first volleyball championship Africa, the Tunisian women had only beaten hosts Egypt. In 1985 they succeeded in their own country the rematch. Two years later she defended her title against Morocco. After two weaker tournaments ( fifth and sixth ) were third in 1995. In 1997, she was our first time not there, but in 1999 they came for the third time the continental title, this time against Cameroon. The title defense failed because they missed the next tournament. At the championships from 2003 to 2007, they increased from fifth to third place.
World Cup
1985 reached the Tunisian women at the World Cup the eighth. The tournament in 1999 they finished in twelfth.
World Grand Prix
The World Grand Prix was previously held without Tunisian participation.
