Twila Paris

Twila Paris Inez Wright ( born December 28, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American singer, songwriter, pianist and author. She is a successful representative of Christian pop music. Songs that she has sung or written, sung throughout the world during church events. It is often compared to the songs poetess Fanny Crosby.

Life

Paris was one of four children of Mr. and Mrs. Oren Paris II and Rachel Inez Paris, Texas was born on December 28, 1958 in Fort Worth,. She grew up in Arkansas in Elm Springs. Paris family had very close relation to Christianity. Already evangelised their grandparents and moved as an itinerant preacher through Arkansas. Your grandmother wrote songs for evangelistic events and her father was a musician.

At the age of two or three years, they began to think of his own songs and sing. As a six- year-old Paris started playing the piano. At twelve, she wrote to her father's statement as homework her first song. Although Paris himself describes the song as bad, it gave her yet the knowledge of their ability to write songs. At 17, she wrote her first real song Morning Sunshine. Her career started in 1981, right when she released her first full-length album Knowin ' You're Around. In the 1980s and '90s, she played a leading role in the praise and worship music. In 1992, she received her first Dove Award for her album Sanctuary. In the following ( 1993-95 ) she received three times in succession the Dove Award as Best Singer of the Year and 1995 is also still the Dove Award for best song of the year. Her most recent Albumg Small Sacrifice was released in December 2007.

Today, Paris lives with her husband Jack Wright in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They have a son.
