Udit Narayan

Udit Narayan Jha (known by his first name Udit Narayan, Nepali, Hindi: उदित नारायण झा, Udit Narayan Jha, born December 1, 1955 in Bharadah, Nepal ) is a Bollywood playback singer. In the Hindi film industry, he is just as successful as in the Nepalese.


Udit began to sing for Radio Nepal in the early 70s folk songs in Nepali, Maithili and Bhojpuri. In 1978, he moved to Mumbai to take lessons there in Indian classical music at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. He had his first hit in 1988 with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak the film, which earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer. After this success, he was one of the leading playback singers in the Indian film industry. His voice he gave often Aamir Khan in films like Dil, Jo Jeeta Wohi Shikander and others. At the same time he was also successful in Nepal; even there he sang in many films.

In 2004, he released his first private album " Upahaar " on which some duets with his wife Deepa Jha are available. This was a super hit and one of the best-selling albums ever. Udit borrowed Shahrukh Khan in 2006 in the movie Don - The Chase Begins Again his voice. In 2007, he borrowed then in the movie Partner Govinda his voice. And in God Tussi Great Ho sings once again with Alka Yagnik.


Udit Narayan is married to Deepa Jha since 1985. The two have a son named Aditya, which has established itself as a singer. He already borrowed children in Pardes, Rangeela and Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai his voice. Since 2001, however, he takes a break from Bollywood, as he grew older and his voice also changed.
