UÄŸur DaÄŸdelen

Uğur Dağdelen ( born October 3, 1973 in Amasya ) is a former Turkish football player. Due to his years of work for Samsunspor he is associated with this club.

Playing career

Association

Dağdelen began with the club football in the youth department of Merzifonspor and was recorded here in 1990 in the senior squad. A short time later, he established himself in the team and played for them for the next three seasons long.

For the summer of 1993 he moved to the highest Turkish League newly promoted Karabükspor. In this club he made it straight into the starting line- and made by its gates that kept his club a chance of relegation until the end of the season. After his club failed after only one year Erstligazugehörigkeit relegation, Dağdelen went with his team in the second ligament For Karabükspor he played until the end of November 1994 in 2 Lig and was for the rest of the season in the first division side Bursaspor on loan.

For the summer of 1995 left Dağdelen Karabükspor and moved to first division side Samsunspor. Here he made it straight into the starting eleven and kept this one and a half seasons long. In the season 1996/97 he lost his place to Cenk İşler and came predominantly by substitutions to stakes. After he had lost his place at Samsunspor, he was loaned out for the season 1997/98 to the league rivals Kayserispor. In this club Dağdelen personally experienced his best season. He scored 14 goals in 27 league games, making it one of the most successful strikers of the season. He also rose to the national team. His club failed to avoid relegation. For the new season, he returned to Samsunspor and played here two more seasons long without being able to build on his success at Kayserispor. As of October 2000, he broke up his contract with Samsunspor and then ended his football playing career.

National

Dağdelen played ten times for the Turkish U-21 national team, scoring one goal.

Through its shown benefits Kayserispor Dağdelen was nominated by the then national coach Mustafa Denizli as part of a test match against Russia in the squad, the Turkish national team. In this game of 22 April 1998, he completed his first and only international match.
