Újezdec (Jindřichův Hradec District)
Újezdec ( German Aujestetz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 18 kilometers northwest of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec. The municipality has 73 inhabitants.
Geography
Újezdec located in South Bohemia. West of the town is the 10 -acre pond Podveský rybik and south of the Velka Ohrazenice with 36 acres of water. In the south of the railway from Jindřichův Hradec goes according to Veseli nad Lužnicí whose next stop is in Záhoří.
Neighboring towns are Donov in the north, Záhoří in the northeast, Pleše the southeast, Vřesná in the south, and Drahov Zlukov in the southwest and Řípec in the West.
History
The village was first mentioned in the year 1340. 1616 Oujezdci consisted of 13 houses. Today, the town has 47 houses.
