Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Sokal – Zhovkva

The Eparchy of Sokal - Zhovkva (Latin: Eparchia Socaliensis - Zhovkviesis ) is a location in Ukraine eparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, headquartered in Sokal. It includes six Rajone the Lviv Oblast. The area is shown below purple in the northwest of the map.

History

The eparchy was on 21 July 2000, built out of territory of Ternopil and Lviv archeparchy, where there was also a suffragan. Since the establishment of the local Ordinary George Alencherry. On September 20, 2006, adopted the current name.
