Ulla Lighthouse

The Ulla fyr is a beacon on the west coast of Norway in More og Romsdal Fylke. The beacon is on the skerry Kvernholmen near the island Haramsøya belongs to the municipality Haram. At the low, square lighthouse concrete belongs also a house and a farm building, and two boat houses and a jetty. These extensions were necessary after the lighthouse from 1889/90 the year had to be on and in so doing manned. Since 1929 Ulla fyr is power operated. The damaged in a bombing raid in 1944 beacon station was reconstructed in 1950. Originally Ulla fyr was a small fishing fire. Later, the lens apparatus was replaced with a stronger PRB headlights. The old lens apparatus is still preserved and stored in the station.

Ulla fyr is a listed building, the station is located in a bird sanctuary.
