Ulysses 31

Ulysses 31 (Japanese宇宙 伝説 ユリシーズ31, Uchū densetsu Yurishīzu Sati wan " Space Legend Ulysses 31"; French Ulysse 31 " Ulysses 31" ) is a co-produced by DiC France, Tokyo Movie Shinsha, FR3 and RTL TVI Japanese- French animated series from the year 1981.

The plot of the series is loosely based on Homer's Odyssey, the story of Odysseus, however, the title transferred to the 31st century, therefore 31 Notwithstanding the ancient template is also Odysseus ' son, Telemachus, instead of waiting at the Odyssey here at home on his father. Ulysses 31 was aired on Tele 5 during the shipment Bim Bam Bino. While the series disappeared in Germany from December 1992 with the setting of the transmission operation of Tele 5 from the TV landscape, it is still aired in France.

Action

Odysseus (JapaneseユリシーズYurishīzu, French Ulysse ) has the Cyclops (here a robotic creature ) defeats and thus angered the gods, so they send him on an odyssey. He flies with his spaceship the Ulyxes (Japanese Odyssey from the Engl ) through space in search of his home planet. Odysseus experienced together with his son Telemachus, Temis (Japanese Yumi ) - an alien, the same age his son's girlfriend - and the robot Nono various adventures. The rest of the crew of his big spaceship Ulyxes was moved by the curse of the gods in a permanent sleep, which only ends when she Odysseus ' home world reach (the earth). One of these is duration sleepers Temis ' brother Nomaios.

One of the adventure takes Odysseus in the ancient underground, where he helps his ancient model shoot his bow, and so to protect his wife and his throne.

Production

Under the direction of the directors Bernard Deyries, Tadao Nagahama, Kazuo Terada and Seiji Okuda created a total of 26 episodes, while Shingo Araki, Philippe Boucher and Yoshinori Canada draw for the appearance of the characters, the latter took over, especially the appearance of the machine structure and flight formations.

Voice Actors

The Japanese voice actors are related to the NBN version of 1988. 1991 was a resynchronization by NHK.

Publications

Before broadcast on German television on Tele 5 in a fully synchronized version ten episodes of the series were released on five VHS tapes. A German -language DVD release does not yet exist.
