Uncial 050
The uncial 050 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering; von Soden AL1 ) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament, which is dated to the 9th century. The manuscript is not complete.
Description
The manuscript covers almost the entire Gospel of John on 19 parchment leaves with many gaps. It has a size of 32.5 × 24 cm. The parchment is not fine, the ink is black brown. The text is in one column with 5-9 rows. Spiritus asper, Spiritus lenis and accents are available. The manuscript contains Katene. Comments are written in lowercase letters.
The manuscript contains the text of John 1,1.3-4; 2,17-3,8.12-13.20-22; 4.7 to 14; 20,10-13.15-17.
The verse 21:25 is repeated twice, even three times verse 20:17.

The Greek text of the codex is assigned to category III.
In John 3:12 we find the text version πιστευετε ( you think ) - instead of πιστευσετε ( you will believe ) - as well as in the manuscripts Papyrus 75 and 083 uncial
History
This manuscript was written in Dionysiu Monastery on Mount Athos. She was examined by Tregelles and Tischendorf. He is now divided into four parts:
- 7 sheets in the Dionysiou monastery (2 (71 ) ) in Athos
- 7 sheets in the Historical Museum ( V. 29, p 119) in Moscow
- 3 sheets in the Christian Church ( Oxford) (Wake 2,3 )
- 2 sheets in Athens ( 1371 ) was preserved.
