United Nations Security Council Resolution 746

Resolution 746 of the UN Security Council of 17 March 1992 deals with - drawn by civil war and famine - the situation in Somalia and refers to the previous resolution 733 and the report of the Secretary-General of 11 March 1992.

It demands by the political groups in Somalia as keeping the ceasefire and humanitarian assistance to the civilian population. In particular, it supports the urgent request of the Secretary, a technical operations team for a peacekeeping mission ( UNOSOM ) set up.

The resolution was adopted by the UN Security Council at its 3060th meeting.
