The University of Bergamo (Italian: Università degli Studi di Bergamo; Latin: Universitatis Bergomensis ) is a public university founded in 1968 in the northern Italian city of Bergamo, with around 12,000 students and 300 academic staff.
The University of Bergamo is the only university in the province of Bergamo and has continuously expanded faculties and other institutions of higher education since its inception. It is considered the cross-border Grisons center of higher education in the region.
Faculties
The University of Bergamo today consists of five faculties:
- Faculty of Arts and Philosophy
- Faculty of Economics
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature
- Faculty of Law
