University of California, Merced

The University of California, Merced (UC Merced ) is the tenth campus of the University of California. The Merced is located in the San Joaquin Valley in California. The inauguration ceremony took place on 25 October 2002, the first day of lectures was 6 September 2005. UC Merced is the first American research university built in the 21st century. Currently 1300 students are enrolled.
