The Unscha (Russian Унжа ) is a 426 km long left tributary of the Volga River in the European part of Russia.

It arises on the North Russian ridge east of Knjaschewo in the Vologda Oblast from the headwaters Kema and Lundonga and flows behind Kineschma in the Gorkier reservoir.

The catchment area of ​​Unscha that is frozen from November to April comprises 28,900 km ².

The main tributaries are Wiga, Neja and Mesha. The largest city on the Unscha is Manturowo.
