UPB-MyTeam FC

UPB MyTeam FC is an association of Selangor, Malaysia. Currently, the club plays in the top league in the country, the Malaysia Super League. Play their home games, the club from the MBPJ Stadium. Founded in 2006, is the biggest success of the club promotion to the 1st Division in 2006.

History

The TV channel TV3 launched in 2006 a reality TV series called MyTeam. The aim was to put together a team of non- professional players from all over Malaysia. This team should compete against the national team of Malaysia at the end. Along the way, the TV accompanied the team from tryouts to the big game. The team of Shebby Singh was trained a former professional footballer.

The match against the national team on 28 May 2006 was lost 2-1. The show had considerable success in Malaysia and the team received an invitation to the Malaysia Premier League ( League 2 ) participate in 2006/ 07.

To give the team a professional basis and to be competitive for the second league, took over the two producers of the show the club Perak UPB FC.

Perak UPB FC was a way of suffering before him football club, sponsored by United Plantations Board Malaysia. The management of Perak UPB insisted that's reflects your club name in the new club. What the end of the current club name UPB - MyTeam Football Club was formed. The two producers were at the same time the president of the association, and the Croatian Bojan Hodak was hired as head coach.

Surprisingly, the same club succeeded Earned promotion to the Malaysian Super League, which they completed the end of the 2007/08 season in 11th place.
