Upper East Region
The Upper East Region (German Upper East Region ) is a region of Ghana with the capital Bolgatanga.
Geography
The region is located in the northeast of the country and is bordered to the north by Burkina Faso, on the south by the Northern Region, on the west by the Upper West Region and on the east by Togo.
Political Structure
The region consists of eight districts of the following:
- Bawku Municipal District
- Bawku West District
- Bolgatanga Municipal District
- Bongo District
- Builsa District
- Garu - Tempane District
- Kassena / Nankana District
- Talensi - Nabdam District
