Urania Genève Sport
Urania Genève Sport ( abbreviated UGS ) is a polysportiver Swiss Association of Geneva. It was founded in 1896 as a football club. Urania Genève Sport has won the 1929 Swiss Cup in 1932 and was once again in the final.
History
The club was founded in 1896 as FC Urania. 1922 merged the club with FC Genève and received its present name.
Other sports sections
1919, the athletics section was established. The women's football section followed in 1921, Field Hockey 1922 Basketball 1930 table tennis in 1941 and finally a handball section was founded in 1950.
