Urasoe, Okinawa

Urasoe (Japanese浦 添 市, -shi; Okinawanisch Urashī ) is a city on Okinawa Honto in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.

Urasoe is located north of Naha.

History

From the 13th century to the early 15th century was the capital of the Principality of Urasoe Chūzan. During this time the castle was the largest of Urasoe Okinawa.
