Urs Kälin

Urs Kälin ( born February 26, 1966 in Bennau at Einsiedeln ) is a retired Swiss ski racer.

At large A matches, he won three silver medals in the giant slalom, his specialty discipline: at the World Ski Championships 1991 in Saalbach- Hinterglemm ( behind Rudolf Nierlich ), at the Olympic Games in 1994 in Lillehammer ( behind St. Mark which Meier ) and at the 1996 World Ski Championships in the Sierre Nevada ( behind Alberto Tomba ). In addition, Kälin won three giant slalom World Cup race. In December 2001, he ended his sports career due to injury.
