Urszula WÅ‚odarczyk

Urszula Włodarczyk ( born December 22, 1965 in Wałbrzych ) is a former Polish athlete who could be placed in the heptathlon, indoor pentathlon, and in the triple jump at international events in the top eight. In 1998 she became European Indoor Champion and European Champion in the open.

Career

Until 1995

1990 surpassed Urszula Włodarczyk in their 32 heptathlon with 6021 points for the first time the 6000 -point mark and thus won her second Polish Champion title after 1988. 1991 they improved in the Polish Championships 6374 points. In the Universiade in Sheffield she won with 6319 points in second place behind the German Birgit Clarius. In the outdoor season Włodarczyk won her fourth Polish championship, finishing at the Olympic Games in Barcelona in eighth place with 6333 points.

At the World Indoor Championships 1993, the pentathlon was held as a demonstration event and not yet counted on the official World Cup program. Nastase won the competition with 4686 points, ahead of Włodarczyk with 4667 points. After the victory in the Polish Championships in mid-June she won in mid-July with 6127 points at the Universiade in Buffalo the gold medal. At the World Championships in Stuttgart, she reached the fifth place with 6394 points. In Stuttgart, she went to in the inaugural Triple Jump and finished with 13.80 m eighth. Włodarczyk won from 1990 to 1994 four Polish championship in the triple jump.

At the European Indoor Championships in 1994 in Paris-Bercy Urszula Włodarczyk won the bronze medal behind the Russian Larissa Turtschinskaja and the Hungarian Rita Ináncsi, with 4668 points improved Włodarczyk doing their best performance by one point. The next major championships took place in Sweden, at the European Indoor Championships in Stockholm in 1996 with 4597 points Włodarczyk was second behind the Russian Jelena Lebedenko. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta Włodarczyk could improve their almost five -year-old best performance at 6484 points. In February 2000 Włodarczyk occurred after five years at the Polish Indoor Championships and won their last national championship there. At the European Indoor Championships in Ghent they won with 4590 points bronze behind the German Karin Ertl and Russian Irina Wostrikowa. In the outdoor season Włodarczyk completed six seven fights, their seasonal best she succeeded at the Olympic Games in Sydney, as she finished fourth with 6470 points. This competition should be her last 6000 -point contest. At the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon in 2001 they finished eighth and last place after injury.
