Uruguay women's national volleyball team

The Uruguayan national volleyball team of women is a selection of the best Uruguayan players, the Federación Uruguaya de Voleibol represented in international tournaments and international matches.

History

World Championships

Olympic games

Uruguay has never qualified for the Olympics.

South America Championships

At the premiere of the Volleyball World Grand Prix 1951 Uruguay reached the final against hosts Brazil. Five years later there was the same result in their own country and in 1958 were the Uruguayan women by third parties. From 1964 to 1975, she occupied three times the fourth and third place. In the tournaments in 1981 and 1983 it reached only to the ranks seven and six. 1987 in their own country the sixth Uruguayerinnen were also. In the following five tournaments they slid off temporarily to eighth place before 1999 results and 2001 re fifth and fourth were. It gave the same results in 2005 and 2007.

World Cup

The first edition of the World Cup ended Uruguay in 1973 on the last of ten places.
