Ústín

Ústín ( German Ustin, 1939-1945 Austin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers west of the city center of Olomouc and is part of the Okres Olomouc.

Geography

Ústín is located on the right bank of the river opposite the mouth of the Stouska Hněvotínský creek in Upper Moravian Valley ( Hornomoravský úval ). North-east rise the Vinohrádky (263 m).

Neighboring towns are Příkazy, Křepelka, Skrbeň and Břuchotín in the north, Křelov and Řepčín in the northeast, Neředín and Topolany in the east, Hněvotín the southeast, Lutín in the south, Slatinice, Luběnice and Drahanovice the southwest, Rataje and Těšetice in the west and Vojnice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village Ustyn took place in 1078 in the wake of the founding of the Benedictine monastery Hradisko by Duke Břetislav. He founded the monastery here in the Vorwerk three farms in vstin, which he had received in 1060 from his brother Vratislav II. The scale than Rundlingsdorf was at that time in worldly possessions. In 1373 the manor was in the Vladiken Šeflín, Sumplín and Hanus of Ústín who sold it to Sulík of KONICE. This eventually sold the property to the Hradischer Abt Teward. Since 1378 all Ustyn belonged to the monastery of goods. In the same year the town was referred to as Hustein or Hustyn. Other forms of the name were Ustin ( 1516 ), Ustein (1718 ), Ostin ( 1720) and Ustinium (1771 ). The parish registers are performed in Těšetice since 1651.

After the dissolution of the monastery during the Josephine reforms of Hradischer share Ustin 1784 fell to the religious fund, the 1786 farm parcel out and on its corridors on the northeastern outskirts of Ustin along the road to Olomouc had been set a two rows of houses colony. This was named after by leading Viennese court officials, a Baron von Skal, as Skalow. The settlers were predominantly from German Nebotein. They each received a building lot and three acres of arable land.

Other shareholders in the village kept the Olomouc Provost St. Mauritz and the rule of Bohemia pod Kosířem. 1827 bought Louis Philippe, Count Saint Genois d' Aneaucourt the Kameralherrschaft Hradisch from religious funds. 1834 put a major fire the whole place in ruins. From 1839 onwards the village Hostín and 1849 Hustin was called. Until the mid- 19th century, the village between the dominions Hradisch, Bohemia and the provost of St. Mauritz remained divided.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hostín / Ustin formed with the settlement Skalov / Skalow 1850 a municipality in the district team Olomouc. 1865 Prussian troops dragged a cholera. In 1889 a school was opened in Hostín, before the lessons were held in Těšetice. The volunteer fire department was formed in 1892. Today Ústín place name has been used since 1921. As of 1921, the village belonged to Okres Olomouc- venkov and from 1949 to Okres Olomouc- okolí. 1928 Sewer was in Ústín created and paved the road from Skalov after Těšetice. During the German occupation the church was given the German name Austin. 1961 Ústín was part of the Okres Olomouc. 1976, the annexation to Těšetice and the closure of the school. In the 1980s, the houses of Skalov, which until then had their own numbering, was connected to the house numbers of Ústín. This Skalov merged with Ústín. Since 1990 Ústín again forms a separate municipality.

  • Historic inn "Pod žudrem " with Vorlaube ( žudr ) and vaults, it was built in the mid 18th century by the Hradisko in Haná style as stately parlor and was originally called "U labutě " ( Zum Schwan ). Between 1992 and 1993 the building was renovated.
