Ustnik, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

Ustnik ( German light Hagen ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It belongs to the rural community Jeziorany ( Seeburg ) in Olsztyński powiat ( county Olsztyn ).

Geographical location

Ustnik is located on Jezioro Ustnik ( light Hagen lake ), a nature reserve ( " Rezerwat Ustnik " ), especially for marsh and water birds. The village is 40 kilometers northeast of the present county town Olsztyn ( Olsztyn ), and to the former county metropolis Reszel ( Rößel ) it is 30 km. The administrative center Jeziorany ( Seeburg ) is only four kilometers away.

History

The estate village was known before 1785 Wuxtenicken. In the 17th century the estate was owned by the family Damarau - Dambrowski, in the 18th century the family of Troschke and towards the end of the 19th century Kahsnitz family.

In 1874, Hagen was light at the newly established District Voigtshof (now Polish: Wójtówka ) in the district and Rößel Regierungsbezirk Königsberg ( 1905 Regierungsbezirk Olsztyn ) incorporated the Prussian province of East Prussia. In 1910, 59 residents were registered here.

Church

In light Hagen, the population was predominantly Catholic denomination before 1945. The evangelical church members made ​​up about 15 % of the population. Today, almost all Catholic population lives in Ustnik. Traffic

Ustnik is a bit out on a side street that connects Wójtówko ( Voigtshof ) in the province road 593 with Potryty ( Potritten ). In Ustnik also ends a side road that leads from Lidzbark Warmiński ( Heilenberg ) about Klutajny here and establishes the connection to the neighboring district powiat Lidzbarski.

Rails
