Uwa Elderson Echiéjilé

Elderson Uwa Echiejile ( born January 20, 1988 in Benin City ) is a Nigerian football player.

Career

In the club

Echiejile began playing football at the Pepsi Football Academy, before the left-footed than 13 -year-old came to Wikki Tourists. The Echiejile used today as a left defender began his career as a striker. After three years at Wikki he moved in August 2007 to Stade Rennes in the French Ligue 1

After the World Cup Echiejile changed hands for 2.5 million euros for the Portuguese first division club SC Braga and signed a four-year contract.

On January 17, 2014 Echiejile joined the French Ligue 1 at AS Monaco.

In the National Team

In 2007, Echiejile with Nigeria at the Junior World Cup in part. His debut in the senior team he had given on 2 June 2009 in the 1-0 victory over France in Paris. He played in the African Cup of Nations 2010, where he distinguished himself mainly by energetic forays on the left wing and sharp edges and pushed forward with Ghana to the semifinals. In summer 2010, he participated in the World Cup in South Africa. Here he came on in the games against South Korea and Greece respectively, in the second half. With only one point Nigeria difference in the preliminary round of the Table.
