Valchov

Valchov ( German Walchau, formerly Walchow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-east of Boskovice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Valchov located in Drahany land at the mouth of the creek creek creek Ludíkovský or Valchovka in the Valchovský. The village is located - surrounded by forests - a large clearing. North-east rises the Přibitá ( 682 m), in the south of Perny ( 637 m ) and southwest of Holíkov (666 m). To the north is the dam Boskovice. To the northeast lies the medieval deserted village Jabloňsko, to the southwest the waste places Přivýšina, Holíkov and Novošice.

History

The first written mention of belonging to the reign Boskovice town took place in 1505. Owners of the village at that time were the lords of Boskowitz. 1547 sold the Boskovice the rule, including the villages Valchov, Velenov, Žďárná, Ludíkov and Protivanov to Simon Eder of Sstiawnicz ( Šimon Eder ze Štiavnice ). 1569 acquired the gender of Zástřizl the goods.
