Walentyna Zerbe - Nesina made ​​her debut in the World Cup 1994 at the individual race in Ruhpolding, where it ranked 40. A short time later they celebrated the biggest success of her career at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, where she surprisingly won the bronze medal in the sprint, only 1.2 seconds beaten by Myriam Bédard and Svetlana Paramygina; with the season they finished fifth. Your bronze medal was the first Olympic medal ever for Ukraine. At World Championships her remained an individual medal denied, but they could win together with Tetyana Wodopjanowa, Olena Petrova and Olena Subrylowa 1996 in Ruhpolding the bronze medal in the relay. The following year, she won a bronze medal along with Tetyana Wodopjanowa, Olena Petrova and Olena Subrylowa in the team competition. Her best individual result at the World Championships was the fifth place in the individual race in 1995.
