Valeria Golino
Valeria Golino ( born October 22, 1966 in Naples) is an Italian actress.
Biography
As the daughter of an Italian and a Greek painter Germanists Valeria Golino grew up both in Naples and in Athens. In high school, she worked part-time as a model and was designed by Lina Wertmuller for its film Scherzo del destino in agguato dietro l' angolo come un brigante da strada (1983 ) discovered, for the seventeen year old first time was in a supporting role in front of the movie camera. In 2008 she was appointed to the jury of the 65th Venice Film Festival, chaired by the German director Wim Wenders.
In 2013, Golino was with Miele her feature film debut as a director. The film received an invitation in the Un Certain Regard the 66th Cannes Film Festival.
