The Van Brienenoordbrug, even Brienenoordbrug, is an arch bridge of Rijksweg A16 in Rotterdam. It is part of the east of Rotterdam ring road. The bridge consists of two almost identical, adjacent arch bridges with bascule bridges, crosses the Nieuwe Maas, one of the main streams of the Rhine- Meuse delta. With more than 250,000 vehicles running on the Van Brienenoordbrug A16 is one of the busiest highways in the Netherlands. The bridge now has 12 lanes and a bicycle and pedestrian path. The 1320 -meter-long Van Brienenoordbrug located at Rhine km 995.20 and km 5.84 of the Dutch waterway 102 ( Nieuwe Maas Maas New Waterway - moon), which ends at km 46.17 in the North Sea.

The eastern bridge was opened by Queen Juliana on 1 February 1965. The western building was released on 1 May 1990 for traffic. The bridge is named after the part underlying Island Eiland van Brienenoord. On average, 140,000 ships sail annually under the bridge. Approximately 500 of these ships are too high to normal pass the bridge, which is why the three adjacent bascule bridges must be opened. The process takes 18 minutes. Of this, 4 minutes each on the opening and closing. Ten minutes takes about the passage of the ship. A bridge opening must be at least three hours before requested at the Traffic Centre of Rijkswaterstaat.

In 2008 it was found that the bridge is in a dilapidated condition, which is why it is to be fully refurbished immediately in the next ten years.
