The Varna Free University Chernorisets Hrabar is the largest private university in Bulgaria, based in Varna (2014). It is located near the seaside resort gold beach.

History

The university was founded in 1991 and awarded by a decision of the 37th National Assembly on 21 July 1995, the university status. Chernorisets Hrabar is a member of the network of Balkan universities.

Accreditation and certificates

The university with a grade of 9:12. accredited at the highest maximum score of 10 by the National Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria for the maximum period of 6 years institutionally. The VFU was re-certified to the international standard ISO 9001:2008 and has received recognition certificates from UKAS ( United Kingdom ) and the ANAB (USA).

The Varna Free University " Chernorisets Hrabar " is the first university in Bulgaria, which has been certified with the DS label ECTS label and HR of the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture of the European Commission.

Training

The Varna Free University offers direct, long-distance and distance studies in all academic degrees, which are laid down in the law on university higher education - bachelor, master and doctoral. The VFU present each year on scholarship programs and offers financial support, to which both the high school graduates can apply with excellent secondary school leaving certificate as well as in the field of theater and dance art gifted children and athletes themselves.

Campus

On the university campus, there is a lecture hall and an administration building, training centers, technological institute, the library, the Centre for Euro qualification, the Russian center, the career center, the medical center with Balneology, restaurant, cafes, dormitories, parking and gardens. Part of the campus is the University branch in the city of Smolyan. The Varna Free University " Chernorisets Hrabar " making over 12 000 students from 82 in bachelor and master degree programs. There are currently offered over 20 accredited doctoral programs.
