Vedeggio

The Vedeggio is a river in the Swiss canton of Ticino. It rises in several small streams west of the Bocchetta di revolt, between the northern Camoghè ( 2,228 m above sea level. M. ) and the southern Gazzirola ( 2,116 m above sea level. M. ) and flows first to the West. In a broader valley, he turns to the south, accompanied the A2 motorway and the Gotthard railway line for 15 km and ends finally in Agno in the western arm of Lake Lugano. In addition to the Cassarate he is the main tributary of the lake. He leaves this as Tresa. The southern part of Vedeggio is channeled due to the investment of the Lugano-Agno airport.
