Velká Lhota

Velka Lhota ( German United Lhota, former United Lhotta ) is a municipality in the Moravian Wallachia in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-east of Valašské Meziříčí and belongs to Okres Vsetín.

Geography

Velka Lhota extends to the west of Wsetiner mountain country at the headwaters of the creek Dědinský creek in a hillside 540-360 m nm East of the U Javora rises (573 m), in the southeast of Ostry vrch ( 672 m ) south of the Klenov ( 678 m) and the Štípa (706 m) in the southwest of Zádrhlov (572 m) and the Medůvka (608 m ) and in the west the Vrchhůra ( 692 m). South of the village lies in the valley of the Bystřička Reservoir Bystřička. To the east lies the protected landscape area Beskydy PLA.

History

The site was created as Waldhufendorf and probably arose during the German colonization. The first written mention of the village belonging to the reign Krasno Lhota was 1374th Since 1411 Stachowa Lhota the reign Rožnov was submissive. In 1505 the village as Lukanowa Lhota, 1535 as ves Lukaniowu Lhotu or Lukanova Lhota and 1594 Chmelowa Lhota or Chmelová Lhota was called. In 1516 the village consisted of a bailiff and six economies, one of which was desolate. During the Thirty Years' War, the inhabitants of Chmelová Lhota, led by Vogt Vantucha on the Wallachian uprising involved. The present name Velka Lhota is the first time in 1635 demonstrated. In hooves register of 1675 the Bailiwick, eight economies and 17 Chaluppen are demonstrated for large Lhota. In the land register of 1775 Vogt, five Ganzhüfner, two Halbhüfner and 39 cottagers are listed. In 1834 the city had 517 inhabitants. Residents living from agriculture, especially livestock and built in home office wooden agricultural utensils, sticks, brooms and pearl pipes. From 1846 onwards the place name Hrubá Lhota was common. Until the mid- 19th century the village was always subservient to Rožnov.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hrubá Lhota / Great Lhotta formed in 1849 a municipality in the district team Valašské Meziříčí. In the same year a school was established in a rented room in the upper part of the village, before the lessons were held in Vesela. 1857 the municipality bought a Chaluppe and built this to get to school. After 1868 in the Malá Bystřice related to resettlement V Okluce a Protestant school was created, the Protestant children were from Hrubá Lhota get retrained until its closure in 1883. Since 1872, the municipality bears the name Velka Lhota. 1895 the school moved into a new school building. After the abolition of Okres Valašské Meziříčí the community in 1960 associated with the Okres Vsetín. 1970 lived in 98 houses of Velka Lhota 395 people. The schools in Velka Lhota and U Pavlů were closed in 1977. Attractions
