Velký Třebešov

Velky Třebešov ( United Trebeschau ) is a town in the Czech Republic. It is located two kilometers west of Česká Skalice on the European road 67 and belongs to Okres Náchod.

History

Velky Třebešov was first mentioned in 1355 in connection with the local parish church of St. Stephen, which belonged to the deanery Dobruška. 1917 Velky Třebešov was combined with the formerly independent municipality Maly Třebešov. Both in Velky and Maly Třebešov was in former times a mansion with a fortress.

Velky Třebešov was in the 14th century in the possession of the Lords Berka of Dubé and Rýzmburk who sold it in 1404 to the Augustinian monastery in Jaroměř. After 1437 the Emperor Sigismund sold the courtyards of the monastery, Maly Třebešov came to Jaromír Jiřík z Chvalkovic. 1560 came Velky and Maly Třebešov to rule Rýzmburk. 1611 acquired both towns Marvart Stranovský z Sovojovic and two years later Albrecht Václav Smiřický of Smiřice. He incorporated both places his reign Náchod with which they were connected to the replacement of patrimonial.
