Velton Ray Bunch

Velton Ray Bunch ( born 1948 in Goldsboro, North Carolina) is an American composer for film and television music.

Already ten years found Bunch his passion for music when he played piano in a local church with gospel influences. First, however, he pursued a career as a baseball player, he was forced to retire after an injury, however. Recollecting himself back on the music passion, he successfully studied music theory and composition at the East Carolina University.

Bunch moved to California, where he met Jimmy Webb and a contract as a songwriter graduated. A few years later he met Mike Post know who promoted him in the direction of television music. Here, first as a pianist and arranger for Ray Charles and Mac Davis. Also, as a songwriter, he celebrated successes, for example, with songs for Dolly Parton, The Commodores and the Oakridge Boys.
