Verizon Building

The New York Telephone Building (also Verizon Building ) is a New York skyscraper built in 1930 right next to Ground Zero. The building is known for its location of the corresponding roads as Barclay - Vesey Building. It now serves as the headquarters of the U.S. telecommunications company Verizon Communications. The building has 32 floors and is 152 meters high, but so far from being among the 200 tallest structures in New York. The New York Telephone Building belongs, next to the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building, the most famous skyscrapers in the Art Deco architecture.

When the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, it was due to its proximity to the 7 World Trade Center severely damaged and then restored by the year 2005. To the south of the building ( a few meters ) is currently under construction, the One World Trade Center ( WTC succession to old ). To the west adjacent to the New York Telephone Building now stands the new 7 World Trade Center.
