Veronica (TV channel)

Veronica is a Dutch commercial broadcaster and belonged to 28 July 2011 broadcasting group ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG, which also includes the channels NET 5 and SBS 6 belonged. Since 29 July 2011, the station is in the hands of Sanoma Media ( 67%) and Talpa Media ( 33%). The transmitter Veronica is primarily aimed at a young audience and the program consists mainly of U.S. productions. It will be sent daily between 18-6 clock, the remaining air time is shared with the children and youth channel Disney XD.

History

Veronica Omroep Organisatie The program was since 1976 a supplier to the Dutch public service broadcasting. Since 1 September 1995 Veronica was a private television stations in the Holland Media Group ( HMG; later RTL Nederland) where the Vereniging Veronica was involved. After the departure of the " Vereniging Veronica " from the HMG, the station was renamed on 2 April 2001 in Yorin because the name Veronica remained in the possession of the Vereniging Veronica.

In collaboration with MTV Networks Benelux a new Veronica was launched on 15 April 2002. It shared the broadcasting time with the children's channel " Kindernet ", now the Dutch Nickelodeon. Therefore, it was only just three programs in the evening, which is then repeated again at night. This meant that they stopped the program on July 14, 2003.

In the same year the standard was adopted by the Scandinavian company SBS Broadcasting. On September 20, 2003 SBS formed its transmitter V8 into Veronica. Unlike his predecessors, he is successful.
