Víctor Ortega

Víctor Hugo Ortega Serna ( born January 27, 1988 in Medellín ) is a Colombian diver. It starts in both the art of jumping from the 1- m and 3- m- board and in the 10 -meter platform diving. He is coached by Oscar Urrea.

His first international title fights denied Ortega at the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne, where he started in all three individual events, but was eliminated in the preliminaries, respectively. In the same year he won at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro in the 10 -meter synchronized diving with Juan Urán the bronze medal. At the World Cup in 2008, he qualified with Urán for the Olympic Games in Beijing. The duo started in the 10 -meter synchronized diving, reaching the final in sixth place. Ortega also participated in the 2009 World Championships in Rome and 2011 in Shanghai. 2011 Ortega reached his best ever World Cup rankings. In single from the tower, he moved into the semi-finals, in the 10 -meter synchronized diving he was with Urán in the final eleventh. At the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, he also achieved good rankings. In synchronized diving, he was from the 3 -meter board with Sebastián villa, and the 10 - m tower with Juan Rios each fifth, in the individual competition of the tower, he finished eighth.
