Victor Shenderovich

Viktor Shenderovich Anatoljevich (Russian Виктор Анатольевич Шендерович; born August 15, 1958 in Moscow ) is a Russian satirist, journalist and screenwriter.

Career

Shenderovich in 1980 to study at the National Institute of Culture from Moscow and then served his two-year military service. From 1982, he led a theater circles in a Moscow Pioneer Palace and taught at the Theatre Institute Gitis.

Fame he achieved as a scriptwriter of popular political puppet show Kukly ( dolls), which aired from 1994 to 2001 by the Russian broadcaster NTV. From 1997 he also designed with NTW a satirical show called " iToGo " which he also moderated itself. After the change of ownership at NTV in 2001 Shenderovich left the station and joined with other colleagues from the transmitter TW - 6, which was closed at the beginning of 2002. Viktor Shenderovich is one of the most famous critic of Vladimir Putin in the Russian media landscape. In his show on Ekho Moskvy, he comments on the Russian government policy every week in critical- ironic way, he also appeared regularly as a speaker on anti-government demonstrations.

On December 4, 2005 Shenderovich candidate in the by-election for a seat in the Duma.
