Victorinus Youn Kong-hi

Victorinus Youn Kong -hi ( born November 8, 1924 in Chinnamp'o, Province Heian Nando, Chosen, former Japanese Empire, present-day North Korea) is retired Archbishop of Gwangju and participants of the last three sessions of the Second Vatican Council.

Life

Victorinus Youn Kong -hi received on 3 February 1946, the ordination.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on October 7, 1963, the first Bishop of Suwon. The Pope personally consecrated him on 20 October of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Pietro Sigismondi, Secretary of the Congregation de Propaganda Fide, and Sergio Pignedoli, Apostolic Envoy for West and Central Africa.

On October 25, 1973, he was appointed Archbishop of Gwangju. On 30 November 2000, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
