Vidče

Vidče ( German Witsche ) is a municipality in the Moravian Wallachia in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-west of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and belongs to Okres Vsetín.

Geography

Vidče extends to the northwest of Wsetiner mountain country in the valley of the brook Maretka, which opens into the Videčka on Hostýnské. The village lies on the edge of the nature reserve PLA Beskydy. To the north, the Úlehle ( 466 m) and Vápenka rise ( 523 m), in the northeast of Hradisko ( 522 m), to the east the Rysová hora ( 553 m), in the southeast of the Na Vrchu ( 627 m ) south of the Polomec (603 m ), Na Spine (560 m) and Těnkovec ( 556 m) in the southwest of Ostry vrch ( 672 m ) west of the U Javora (573 m) and in the northwest of the Hostýnské (416 m).

History

Vidče heard next Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and Zubří of the oldest towns in the Rose Auer area. The first written mention of Vitče took place in 1310 as the property of Bohuslav de Crazna, which at the same time was also called a Vogt. In 1411 Lacek granted by Krawarn in the reign of Rosenau, the escheat law, while the village was called Vič. The place name Fojtova Vidče and 1515 Wittcze is handed down from the year 1507. The first land registry was created in 1589, it is ten to 1600 property acquired. Between 1600 and 1620 can be four and five Chaluppen economies, including evidence of the Bailiwick mill in 1607. On the hill Vápenka 1602 limestone quarry and lime kiln was one. 1621 led the Vogt Jakub Hrbáč during the Wallachian uprising the rebels in the reign of Rosenau. 1647 passed in Vič twenty Chaluppen.
